Fundraising at Miller

At William G. Miller, fundraising plays a big role in helping our students learn, grow, and thrive. With ongoing government cutbacks, many of the extras that make school exciting—like new equipment, books, class trips, and special activities—depend on the support of our school community.

That’s where you come in! Every donation, no matter the size, helps us give our students the best possible learning experience. You can also get involved by volunteering your time or helping to spread the word about our fundraisers.

Together, we can keep providing the opportunities and experiences that make William G. Miller such a great place to learn!

How your support made a difference!!

Thanks to the amazing support from our William G. Miller community, the funds raised during the 2023–2024 school year were used in 2024–2025 to directly benefit our students in many ways:

$700 – Grade 8 Graduation celebrations
$1,901 – Elective Weeks activities
$1,902 – Wellness Week initiatives
$500 – New equipment for classrooms and programs
$10,000 – School trips, enrichment opportunities, and Science in the School
$3,500 – A brand new Smart Board for enhanced classroom learning

Every dollar raised goes right back into creating engaging, hands-on experiences for our students. Thank you for helping make it all possible!

Fundraising Success in 2024-2025 Year!

During the 2024–2025 school year, our amazing William G. Miller community helped raise approximately $24,000 to support our students!

Here’s how those funds were raised:

$10,592 – Pizza Lunch
$1,486.57 – Fun Lunch
$2,049 – Chocolate Sales
$604 – Cookie Sale
$8,592 – Fun Fair
$700.50 – Created by Kids Art Program

These funds will be used this year to support class trips, new equipment, and enrichment experiences that make learning fun and meaningful for all our students.

Thank you to every parent, student, and volunteer who helped make these fundraisers such a success — we couldn’t do it without you!

Fresh From the Farm

Fresh from the Farm is a unique fundraising partnership between the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association and our school community. By purchasing fresh apple and vegetable bundles, you can enjoy healthy, local produce for your family while also supporting Ontario farmers and the Miller Students.

Every order helps support Canadian farmers and keeps your food dollars local.
Proceeds from this fundraiser directly support William G. Miller programs and initiatives for our students.
You can also choose to donate an order—our administration will make sure it goes directly to one of our families in need.

Bundles includes

8 pounds of premium Ambrosia apples for $24
The hearty bundle includes 5 lb of potatoes, 3 lb of carrots, 3 lb of yellow onions, and 3 lb of sweet potatoes—all for just $22.00.

40% of profit all goes to Miller
